Technically no. Cole Volkers who played second line last year for woodbury was in the East Ridge district however he moved to California.

As far as losing sophomores from last year's Park and Woodbury VARSITY teams, Volkers is the only one that Woodbury lost. I have no clue about who Park lost. Assuming East Ridge is only playing JV this year, you would need to find out who on the CG and Woodbury Bantam A teams will be going to East Ridge, which would then mean that you have too much time on your hands, so all I can say is wait and see.

East Ridge is playing a full varsity schedule this season.

Per East Ridge head coach Doug Long, the team has no goalies. All of them ended up at Park and Woodbury.

Long plans on teaching some players to play goalie. It could make for a very long season for the Raptors - both varsity and junior varsity.

Just a piece of information for you - it is East Ridge and not Eastridge (two separate words).

I don't believe that's true doc.....there are 4 goalies at ER....maybe not the primo ones, but goalies none the less. Also, I'm sure Coach Long wouldn't make a comment like that.

I know for a fact that he has two goalies from woodbury. Andrew McDonough played bantam A for woodbury last season and Thomas Wermers played at Hill Murray last year.

If it is true that East Ridge is short on goalies, would it be possible for East Ridge to take a cut goalie from Woodbury? I heard there are six goalies trying out for Woodbury and four of those are returning. That means two are extra.

No it wouldn't be possible. Transfers aren't allowed for two years in district 833.

Wow those two goalies (plus whoever else they find) are going to have a lot of practice this year.

You're correct. He played bantam B for woodbury. My mistake.

However, for the most part, their football team was competitive. Watch out for them next year!

no don't get me wrong i agree 100% with that. i'm sure everyone is as excited as i am to see what EZ can do.

and as of their hockey team, they DO have some strong young skaters, and i expect them to play hard in the SEC but i just don't think they'll be able to handle the toughness, talent, and experience that most of these SEC teams posess.

Without any seniors, I heard they are playing a small school schedule or is that inaccurate?
Here is the East Ridge schedule.

Yeah, they lost almost their entire JV, only a few JV players from 08-09 stayed at woodbury
