Little Falls surprises everyone as the young players mature through the year and wins section 6a again. I can hope can't I?

Actually I think Sartell has the best shot and Alex will always be in the hunt.

With the way Sartell played last year, I believe they will be the front runner for section 6A.

Since I ranked them about #15 on another thread I better go with Sartell.

Fergus Falls will sure have to step up to the plate in order to make it to the next step. They have been in the hunt the past few years, but never able to come through when it counts the most.
Detroit Lakes will have to have a huge turnaround...
Sartell has been the talk the past few years and I wouldn't doubt them at all.
Alexandria always has to be considered, just like Fergus Falls.
From my experience watching Fergus Falls over the years though, I know that success will breed success. Experience is learned through the years and it takes a special team to stop a great run.
This year, Little Falls has to be the favorite, bottom line. Unless they have a losing season, and even then, records mean little come loser out games.

Yep, so I guess we all shouldn't care. Screw hockey, it sucks......

Cedar Rapids Rough Riders, backup for now. Some of the Sect 6 teams are going to put a hurt on LF this year, payback is tough.

I dont know about Alex either, they lost alot from last year. This section is anybodies. Alex Sartel, FF, maybe even LF. They have great hockey suppport there and that goes along way.

Early still, but at this point I would point to the game between Alexandria and Sartell as being a big one. It appears early on that these two teams are ahead. Detroit Lakes and Fergus Falls should be the ones chasing and Little Falls has a lot to prove....wich could be dangerous later this year.

sartell put a hurt on ff friday night. score 5-0 shots 54-17. seemed like a very 1 sided game

Red Wing beat Fergus Falls in Red Wing on Saturday 3-0
Shots on goal: Fergus Falls 15
Red Wing 19
Fergus Falls seems to be using two goalies right now and this one was Austin Carr. The other Goalie, Jason Loftquist, 3rd year starter, recorded 49 saves in the game at Sartell on Friday....
For Sartell to put 49 shots on goal is pretty impressive. It should be noted that Sartell had plenty of powerplays, I did not see the game. Either way, Fergus Falls is an average team at worst from what I've seen this year, which puts Sartell somewhere in the next level.
Detroit Lakes is the unknown, they have some standouts, but are sitting average at this point and play in the mid-state conference, which leaves a lot to be desired. Fergus Falls beat DL 5-4 in OT on their opener........

should be noted Lucas Gervais is out till january at earliest with a fractured vertabre in his back. other seniors will have to step up and fill in his shoes and score some goals which friday and saturday they didnt score any.

I wondered why I hadn't seen his name anywhere. Hope he heals up quick.

Fergus Falls has now whent 9 periods scoreless losing 4-0 to Sauk Rapids. Sauk Rapids scored 3 short handed goals...obviously the Otters have lost their enthusiasm.
Detroit Lakes beat Park Rapids 5-4...I really don't know what to make of it. DL needs a better schedule. They can keep their 4 team conference, but start scheduling some better opponents.
Alexandria took a 3-2 loss to Willmar. Willmar is likely OK this year, but Alex should've won the game if they are to be the #7 team in the state and favorites to win 6a.
Sartell got a 3-2 win over Little Falls. Likely they should've won by more, however they seem to be the favorite. The Sartell v Alexandria game is going to say a lot. A Sartell win will make them the undeniable favorite and they will be considered a true contender the rest of the season....if they don' t choke.

WOW! Alex lost to Willmar that has to be a first.
