Line up, leave the gloves on, and touch knuckles.

we don't play games to make friends anyway.. give the kids an extra 2 minutes on the clock and leave the ice after the game is done. Just think of the development ops we will get with the extra 2 minutes...

• Clean equipment for each time on the ice.
Hmm, the cheapest services I've seen are about $60 per set of equipment. Holy Crap! This season is going to cost me $5400 just to clean the gear!!!!

At some point this certainly would go from a touch to a bump, to a punch.
Frequently those bumps would be right at the face mask
The bare hand may actually be reducing the punch.

I prefer hand shake but then I prefer healthy kids.
In D16 if a bump turns into a punch someone(s) would be in line for some skating afater a game rather than hand shaking.

Makes a person wonder what they are going to do to stop the hockey players from getting coughed on or sneezed on in the hallway at school. What about protection from their brothers and/or sisters who might be carrying the virus. This is gonna look like the lab scenes in the movie Outbreak before they are done protecting the hockey players. Space suit sales are gonna skyrocket.

Seems kind of silly and overprotective. Some High school football conferences did away with handshakes....Like lining up nose to nose, blocking and tackling weren't keeping kids far enough apart. Anyone notice those piles of kids after tackles? I'm sure no hands were touching and everyone was holding their breath.
The one that really is getting me is wrestlers aren't going to be allowed to shake hands prior to a match....

I guess that's too close of contact.
The fact is you never know what anyone has these days, be it a cold, the flu, TB, or anyother easily transmitted disease. Kids share the same drinking fountains, pass by each other in the halls with no room between them but we're bound and determined to draw a line at sportsmanship, saying this will solve the spread of disease.
