is the train leaving?

My kid just made Squirt A as a move-up mite. He scored a goal in their first game and really looked good. So my question is, is it better to send a kid to the USHL early (before HS graduation) or is it better to finish high school, then go straight to D1. What about the NTDP or Canadian Juniors. How do I get him on the map with these groups?
Actually, this is not true. I have older kids. I was moved to post because a parent of a 2002 was just told it is time for his kid to start training harder. He is a normal and smart guy, but he was worried that the train might leave the station without his 7-year-old on it.
As I told him: Relax. it is a marathon. Make sure your kid is having fun and likes going to the rink. Teach him to skate, pass, shoot and stickhandle. Have fun. He does not need to go to Canada to play a tournament in third grade. There are plenty of Marriots in your future.
