Is the USHL Draft list a joke??? Many kids on the list didnt even make the A team for their city this past year and some kids that are not on the list definiatly deserve to be there. Is there a chance for kids to get on the list even before the draft in 2 years????
How do the kids get on that list, Is it there dads or whats up with it??

Technically it's not even a draft list, it's a watch list. Alot of those players will never be drafted and some that are never on there will be drafted or make teams. Not something you need to get your panties in a bunch about. It's the 94's. I think this year will be 92's???? so there is still 2 years for this thing to be tweaked.

The 94's will have a draft in May. This is the USHL futures draft. Teams selecting players in this draft own the rights for 3 years. The draft is only 5 rounds, so only the very top 94's are protected by the teams. This was a way to keep USA players jumping to the OHL or the WHL. There is also an Entry draft which goes 20 rounds. This is for players that the USHL teams think may come that year. If your drafted in the Entry Draft the team owns your rights for just one year, then you go back into the pool.
There is plenty of time to get drafted. Many players now playing in the USHL were never drafted. It's not the end if you don't get drafted.

I'll preface this with the fact that I haven't closely reviewed the '94 draft list but my guess is some of the players on it work out at Fhit.

Put me in my place!!! 11 players on the list over 3 birth years for (CLASS A STA)..... MORE THAN THE WHOLE NWSC OVER THE SAME SPAN.... Warroad had 0 (had to change it) and we saw them in St Paul. Maybe you and your good ol' boys at STA should get some balls and play with the big boys if you have so much legit talent.

I agreed with YOUNGBLOOD08 in the "PSSSSSST the USHL IS WATCHING YOU" topic that most of the scouts worked for FHIT....1 SCOUT FROM STA.... 3 SCOUTS FROM SOUTH METRO....1 FROM SOUTHERN MN AND 1 OLDER GUY WITH YOUTH HOCKEY EXPERIENCE COVERING THE ENTIRE NORTHLAND....Problem needs to be solved!!!!!! That's funny the USHL scout page is down now

Sounds like it already is.
Here is a link to the USHL website (from Oct 21st) which announces that they are creating a Player Development Division. In the article, it states that this group will be taking over the function of the Central Scouting group.
http://www.ushl.com/news/story.cfm?id=2762
That is probably why the page showing the old list of scouts has been taken down on their website.

Doesn't mean much until they name the 'regional' heads and local people. If it is the same group of self promotion artists the situation will not be any better. Let's hope that the USHL tries to get some less biased people to review players so that certain people can't continue their little merry-go-round operation. I don't think the intention of the USHL scouting was to help an organization market itself for profit by promoting 'their' players (some undeserving) and then selling it as a reason to join their group. By making some very questionable recommendations it also takes away some of the credibility from the many deserving recommendations that they do make.
