At this early stage I'll give the nod.

SSM is still impressive no matter how you cut it.

The winners of the tournaments over the next few weekends will be the leaders.

I wouldn't put a lot of focus on these first rankings, SSM has been pounding everyone.
Edina has looked good, nice to see OMG up there. Centennial(#9) lost to Woodbury(#11) 14-0. White Bear(#7) is losing to everyone, and Wayzata(#4) will face a long year (by their standards). Lets give it a couple weeks before we start crowning the best.

Shattuk doesn't count. They are Club.

A little bit irrelevant. Some players mature at different rates, some players move, etc.

Right now, Duluth East looks to be the strongest team in the state based on their record and the teams they have beat. I'd say that Edina is a close 2nd.

The Best

Impossible to categorize the best. Grand Rapids should be pretty good but probably not the best. If they stay healthy they could be top 5 which is darn good for a small program.

Duluth East has to get the nod as #1. They beat Edina head up. These look to be the two best, but the Trojans are coming on strong! My guess is that No1 will change a lot b4 March.

Having played all those teams other than OMG, i'd have to say DE, Edina second. Wayzata didn't seem to strong. Woodbury is a team thats surprising people.

Shattuck - hands down. Younger than the other Bantam teams in Minnesota, but still the best in state. Maybe the best in the country.

Yes, they might be the best team in the state maybe even the country but they don't play for a state title and this thread i am pretty sure is about the best bantam A teams in the state that actually matters. Shattuck is a VERY GOOD TEAM but they are really just a club.

No, they have no interest in the state title ... they play for the National title ... my bad.
