What's up with Pointstreak.com?

Last year they did a fairly decent job of posting scores, stats, etc. This season, they have fallen way off. On Tuesday, for example, they only showed three results.

Who needs 'em when you have PrepHockeyNorth.com?

Welllll...I'm trying to get scores statewide. PHN does a great job up in our neck of the woods, but they don't seem to care much about Luverne, Marshall, Worthington or Redwood Valley.

I think it's because the official stat-keeping migrated over to mnhockeyhub.com this year. So they're filling the role that pointstreak used to.

Karl, are you having as much trouble getting into mnhockeyhub.com as I am? It's taking forever to load the site.

I don't think they're in the minority on that one.

Nah, it's loading just fine for me.
From what I've seen there a bit slower than pointstreak at putting up scores, though. Only about 3 up right now.

Yeah, it looks like mnhockeyhub dropped pointstreak and is using sports ngin or something instead.

Guys,
Here's the deal as best I understand it. Then Minnesota Coaches Ass. decided to hire someone to update MNHockeyhub with stats and use MNHockeyhub as the official scoring for High School Hockey in MN. Last year MNHockeyhub was integrated with Pointstreak. This year they are doing their own thing at MNHockeyhub even though they still have a contract with Pointstreak for the 2009-2010 season. I spoke with Mike MacMillan, the President of the MN Coaches Ass. and he gave me the above information. When I asked him why he told me it was a business decision. The way things sit now it is a bit of a mess. Some folks will be using MNHockeyhub and some will be using Pointstreak. My opinion is if MNHockeyhub works this year then Pointstreak is out. If it turns to crap which could easily happen then Pointstreak will be back in. I am upset with the situation for several reasons: As the official scorer and PA Announcer for **********, Pointstreak worked great for me last year. It was very easy for me to do the games and follow all of the other games. I spent about 4 hours on the phone with Pointstreak this past week, downloading software and entering the lineups for ********** and figuring things out for the first home game this season on a different computer. After asking a number of questions I was directed to Mike MacMillan who called me and updated me on the above. I was told that the on-line software for MNHockeyhub was released about a week to 10 days ago. I knew nothing about the switch from Pointstreak to Hockeyhub and the un-integration of hockeyhub with Pointreak and the duplication of effort until this past Tuesday. MacMillan sent me the e-mail on using the Hockeyhub software but I did not have time to look at or load for Tuesday's game and with everything that was going on with the home opener I just used an old fashioned paper scoresheet. I have not had a chance to download the HockeyHub software to see how it works or if it is any good so I cannot give an opinion. MacMillan says it's easier than Pointsreak and I did learn that the MN Jr. Hockey League started using the software this year. Stay tuned .... we will see what happens. All I know is that Pointstreak worked great last year and I don't see the rationale for changing from something that is working. I hope this helps answer folks questions.

followthepuck.com does a fantastic job at getting scores up. You don't get a full scoresheet, but you get major statistics and goal scores, assists, etc.

Any switch will always have its detractors...as well as an adjustment period while everyone gets used to the change. Give it a chance and I'm quite certain you'll appreciate the difference very soon.

I can't get the stats to load either. It just goes part way then stops responding. It would also be nice to get rid of the box over the top of the stats on the front page, good idea but pointless with no photo available.
