With little respect for A teams in rankings and karl doing a ranking for AA teams every week, I thought I'd start with a ranking for A teams. The first week will look a lot like the end of last year with not many games played and we will go from there. Enjoy!

1. Breck (2-0)
Defending Champs and undefeated, getting by a Marshall-less Mahtomedi this week. Two games that will really shape rankings coming up this week.
-This week: St Thomas (Tues), @Cathedral (Fri)

2. Warroad (2-0)
Two quality away wins. Undefeated. Control their own destiny this week.
-This week: LOW (Tues), Hibbing (Fri)

3. St Thomas Academy (0-0)
Adopting a Stars late start schedule, the team with an All-conference goalie with a state championship under his belt and a returning first line with 155 points last season should do well this season.
-This week: @Breck (Tues), @Tartan (Thurs), Simley (Sat)

4. St Cloud Cathedral (2-0)
Undefeated with two quality wins. Play two teams in my top 10 this week.
-This week: Breck (Fri), Denfeld (Sat)

5. Hermantown (1-0)
Great coach, always has good teams, quality win this week. Quality AA opponents in two away games this week.
-This week: Two Harbors (Tues), @Hopkins (Fri), @Andover (Sat)

6. Mahtomedi (1-1)
Missing Gopher recruit for two more games. Two, should be easy, conference away games this week.
-This week: @Richfield (Thurs), @NSP (Sat)

7. Duluth Denfeld (2-0)
Two away wins, including getting 3 passed Gopher recruit Wilcox of SSP. First 6 games of season are away.
-This week: @Sauk Rapids (Fri) , @Cathedral (Sat)

8. South St Paul (2-1)
Two wins and 1 goal loss to up and coming Duluth Denfeld. Will be tested this week in two away games.
-This week: @Red Wing (Tues), @Hill Murray (Sat)

9. Thief River Falls (2-1)
Two quality wins and a loss to Roseau. Two away games this week.
-This week: @Blake (Fri), @Johnson (Sat)

10. Rochester Lourdes (1-0-1)
Always have playoff competitive teams and have not lost yet. Play two Missota teams this week.
-This week: @New Prague (Tues), Red Wing (Thurs)

After more games are played, will go to 15.

Well, as it turns out, I'm not going to be doing the Class A rankings for the Hub this year after all. I'm just in line to crank out the Top 20 regardless of class stuff, as well as the Week Ahead, which is quite likely going to take up all of my time on Mondays.

So if HShockeywatcher is game, he can most certainly grab the reins on this one!

I'll still voice my opinion, however...gotta love the small schools.
