Watched some great hockey last night at the JGA level.
Lakeville 6 - Minnetonka 2
Lakeville looks like a strong team.
Wayzata 3 - Duluth 1
Fun game to watch with some bone crushing checks.

Does anyone have an update on the other bracket?
Edina vs. Eden Prairie
Fort Francis vs. WBL

The ice on Mtka A is horrible...soft and slow. It's too hot on the ice and players get fatigued. Both games could have been faster.

Wayzata uses a relentless fore check that causes a lot of turn overs and odd man rushes. Their defense crew is big and talented and break the puck out nicely. Don't get caught with your head down when defensemen #6 and #9 are on the ice. They like to hit.

Good luck.

Wayzata 5 - Lakeville 2

Strong play from Wayzata's #10 Hunter Kamm and #14 Jesse Hodges. Lakeville's #10 Alex Geisinger, #15 Jack Bergman and #17 Ben Hardin showed that they are amoung the top JGA players in the state.

Lakeville won the physical battle while Wayzata won the speed battle.

2many stitches, I think you have 2manyconcussions.

Outside of the goalie that played Friday, Lakeville is not that good. They will be a middle of the pack team in the metro league. My prediction: about an 8th place finish.

The better teams have speed and skill and will win out in the end.

Blueblood - I don't disagree with you about the concussions or your analysis that "speed kills" or that Lakeville may not be a top team. However, I am really glad they are in playing in our league. They are competitive and tough and they are not going to be an "automatic win" for anyone. And that's a lot more than can be said of some other teams.

Your analysis of Lakeville is right on.

They have the makings of a good team. They are definetly going to get better. They are better off playing JGA than JGB.

wbl 5 lakeville 4 got down 3-0 after the first... struggled in defense today.... partilly on me deffinatly expecting to get better. Another problem we have is over 60 % of our goals allowed is on the penilty kill. Must stay out of the box and kill better.

Tonka tournament recap

Wayzata - claims the title with an exciting 2OT win over Edina. New #1 IMO. Very big first line followed by small speedsters on second line. #10 is solid...

Edina - Penalty issues this week at Tonka. 3 players had to sit out of championship game. Not as skilled as last year's team.

Tonka - Laid an egg vs. Lakeville. Bounced back with 2 solid wins over Duluth and Fort Francis. Quick team. Need to catch a few passes in the nuetral zone to really open up their games.

WBL - 3rd place finish with wins over Ft Francis and Lakeville. Nice quiet tournament for the Bears.

Lakeville - win over Tonka in QF's. Pretty big team. Rematch with Tonka on the 27th should be interesting...

EP - Lost to Edina and Ft Francis. Beat Duluth in 7th place game in OT.

Duluth - tough weekend for the Aerials. Looks like most of their players are back.

Sounds like a very good tournament. Was hoping Tonka would take this one home to.

you must be dumb because wayzata is better than edina, they have way more speed and had a strong balanced team, edina also has a balanced team but they are not that good

3-2 ??? wayzeta s way better????? and im not sure if u were at the game or not i personally wasnt but i heard that edina sat in the box half the game and if they figured that out they probibly would of won the game..... but well see in the rematch between those two

i also believe that edinas has the best forcheck in the league by along shot which allows them to control the puck in the o zone alot.

LV6:

Wayzata was and is the better team, right now.

Those of us who were there saw them outshoot, outskate and outplay Edina. Yes it was a 2OT game, but Wayzata is clearly the front runner at this point.

I know, you're gonna saw we played them both and Edina was the better team against Lakeville. But when teams face each other, that's when it counts.

I changed account name im lakeville six that is trueandright now its fair to say wayzeta is the best but i will not be suprised to see the nextgame against those two to go the other wayat all

Personally playing in the game i would think it looked somewhat even, though Edina had "3 players out" . I predict atleast 3 more games against these teams and all should be good.
