Undefeated Teams In Both Classes

Class A
Spring Lake Park (9-0)
Class AA
Cretin (7-0)
Eagan (5-0-1)
Hill Murray (7-0-1)
Holy Angels (4-0)
Minnetonka (7-0)
Wayzata (6-0-1)
Winona (7-0)
Spring Lake Park should stay unbeaten for a while.
With Hill Murray, Holy Angels and Minnetonka all in the Schwan's Gold Cup, expect one Class A team and maybe three Class AA teams on this list 8 days from now.

Not sure how I missed them. I can't add them in the poll. Oh well, they'll lose before Winona

Winona is 7-0 going into the open bracket of the Schwans Cup so there is a possibility of them staying undefeated for a while longer

Lee...... if you can add to this poll, any chance you can tap into my bank account and add a few Benjamin Franklins to the balance????

I think this could come down to scheduling. While you could argue that Mtka is the #1 team in state, they will also play some very good teams over the course of the season and the game against Blaine shows how close a game can be made by a quality opponent.

Slap Shot, you are right. A week from now (okay, 9 days) there will be a maximum of 5 AA teams left, as 4 of them are in the Gold Division of Schwan's Cup, and I suspect a few others will fall.
I suspect it will be Spring Lake Park and Winona.

Spring Lake park till conference play perhaps? Well at least till they match up against Benilde. What Christmas tourney are they in?

Looks like one in Eveleth. The play Mpls East first. Mpls West, Park Rapids and Eveleth-Gilbert are three others there.

I don't know if you're aware of this, but if two teams in a holiday tournament such as Schwan's are tied after the first overtime, they are
officially credited with a tie. An undefeated team would still be undefeated in this case. The shootout after the overtime only determines who moves on. So it's possible for all four of those teams to still be undefeated after the Schwan's Cup.

I see slp going undefeated until benilde. They have a very weak schedule. Only competition will be benilde and maybe st Francis. I think they will probably beat tg.

The Panthers schedule hasn't been on the tough side, but they are playing pretty good hockey right now. I got a chance to watch them play the Saints, and although the Saints aren't anything to talk about, i was impressed with the depth on offense, defense, and even the depth in goaltending for Park. The Panthers had 8 different goal scorers that game and 2 goalies contributed to the shutout.
Benilde is going to be a very interesting test for the Panthers. I wouldn't expect Benilde to overlook that game, so I am looking for it to be a good game. Spring Lake Park plays very good hockey at home and it will definetely play to their advantage. An early goal could be a huge key to winning that game for either team.

You really think that SLP could even make it a game against Benilde? I would say Benilde by at least 5, but then again I havnt seen either teams play. I hear that SLP has an awesome sophomore class though with alot of transfers from Blaine I believe?? Can anyone confirm this?

The Sophomore class has a lot of potential from what I've seen. The Panthers have solid talent coming up in the next few years. As far as transfers, there aren't any sophomore transfers from Blaine. Two Junior transfers though I believe.

the saints? They're a bantam team at best. They are horrid. Slp has good defense and good goaltending. But when your playing a crap team you should have more than 8 people scoring. I'm sure slp doesn't even play anyone in their holiday schedule. Like I said. If they skate with bsm I'll consider them a team to talk about considering top ten teams.

Eagan has got some tough match ups with AV on the 9th and EP on the way.
SLP has it's toughest game against BSM on the 9th as well.
Minnetonka has got Edina and EP both before the 9th.
I'd have to guess Tonka would be the last team, based on their dominace in the league so far. BUT if Tonka is upset before those 1/9 games for Eagan and SLP, theres a chance that there will not EVER be a final undefeated team this season.
Unless of course you want to say whoever's game (SLP/Eagan) starts later is the final team.

count slp out, they lost to a horrible irondale team. wanted my money back after watching that display, no reason to talk about them and bsm. they needed a loss, too many kids on that team thinking theyre untouchable. while being a park fan im upset to see this happen, but i knew eventually they'd lose. i figured it would be against bsm, never thought it would be irondale. props to irondale for knocking off a good hockey team(though played horrid)
