Rookie Winona hasn't exactly played all cakewalk teams here. They beat a good farmington 8-6, a team that barely lost to Faribault 6-5. and Last time i checked Faribault is ranked 10th in single A. They also beat a decent Albert Lea 5-2, and even if Mankato West isn't the greatest team ever, a 6-0 win in West's barn is no small feat. They have a good chance of beating Northfield if they come ready to play and bring their A game.

they are definatley a better team from a year ago. And have got off to a good start and proved to be contenders, playing with the top teams of their section. They start their stretch of conference games tommorow at Prior Lake

if that's anything you were looking for

Although they seem inconsistant, they seem to be much better than last year, beating teams they have not in the past. What has made them better?
