Eagan won the SSP tournament 7-1 over Hopkins. Shots were 46-15. There was really never a close game for them and hasn't been since Jefferson. They are fun to watch! :D

Ok, its time for Eagan to get on the map, and by map I mean Top15 or better. They just dominated the SSP tourney, scores of 8-1,4-1,7-1. They outshot their last two opponents by 96 to 29. This team is for real boys and girls.

Of the top 15 Karl has in this forum, Eagan is better than AHA, Cretin, Osseo, Duluth East, Moorhead, Elk River and possibly Benilde. Somebody prove me wrong if this isn't the case.

How many of the teams Eagan beat were ranked in the top 15?

Eagan will show up on the rankings this week. This is just a case of not having a solid history with the rankings. Some people just figured out how to spell Eagan. Is that with an "en" or "an"?? AHA is over-rated yet they were ranked 5th on most charts and had not even played anyone.

Why do some teams get discreditted by the schedule and other have thier schedule over-looked? Eagans only loss is to the BEST WOMEN hockey players in the world!! AHA played Prior Lake, Shakopee and Northfield and still kept thier ranking, after this tourney they better drop like a rock.

Happyhockeyfan and besthockeyfan,
As a fan of Eagan hockey I appreciate your enthusiasm about Eagan hockey but let's settle down a little bit. I'm quite certain not many people in Eagan are worried about where they are ranked including the coaches, players, parents and fans. While it is true Eagan is having a good year, let them enjoy the ride and back off a little bit about getting them a top 15 or whatever ranking. As I said, I'm sure they don't care. Let the games fall as they may and hope that all of their hard work pays off in the end.

I won't really start to sort everything out until after today's games, but Eagan should easily crack the top 15 next week.

THANK GOD!!! Now HHF and BHF can put down their crying towels and pick up their pom poms.

I'll bet I'm not the only board follower that won't be rooting too hard for Eagan the rest of the way.

Let's not root against Eagan just because of 2 guys (who most people in Eagan could care less about) are whining. Nobody in Eagan who has any hockey sense is on their side. I am tied into to Eagan hockey and could care less if or where they are ranked. I'm just along for the ride as I would hope most are because it's exciting to see them playing well. We all get it that one win over Jefferson and a couple wins over some non-descript teams isn't too big of a deal. It's just nice to see them playing well and who cares where they are rated!

Who is crying? I just dont like how certain teams have not done S**t get top ranking and a team that has done something gets nothing just because they are not regularily ranked. Look at AHA, who have they really beat coming into this weeks tourney? NOBODY. Again, because some of you just cant figure it out. All we have asked for is some recognition, you go out a beat the #3 team in the state on their own ice it should mean something and you should be recognized for it. As for MR I am tied into Eagan hockey, so am I, my son plays in the program and I dont think I am harming anyone or anything simply looking for some recognition. Does it mean anything when the playoffs start, No, and I realize that but for now some recognition is nice and it looks and sounds like they are finally going to get it. NUFF SAID

It is funny; I make comments and get called names and made fun of for having those thoughts then many others make the same comments.

Jefferson is a very good team. They don't have the schedule to prove it all the time just like other teams. Eagan beat them. Eagan is also good. We'll see how their second match up goes.

Playerplayer1,
After much thought today I am going to take your side on this one. I have decided to just report scores going forward for Eagan and let their players play. If the wins come, they will get recognized. No need to sit here and beg for a top 15 ranking, their play will dictate that. Happyhockeyfan, please no more begging, let the players play!

Nice

Fine, I can do that and it makes no sense trying to change the minds of those who only have eyes for the Jefferson's, Edina's, Blaine's, Holy Angel's and Eden Prairie's of the hockey world. They hate to see any newcomers to scene, it breaks with tradition and the haters hate that. Well let me just say in my final Eagan rant that you haters better get used to seeing Eagan up in the rankings because this team is set up to be around for awhile like it or not. NUFF SAID

-I know I am a homer, and everything. But give Hastings some credit too...knocking off SSP in their own tourney in the 3rd place game, and playing a well-rounded first game, in their win over Anoka. Nice to see the Blue and Gold do well!!!

Didn't Happyhockeyfan say on this thread he was going to cool it for awhile. Then why is he on that Tier ranking thread doing the same old thing and exchanging unpleasantries with others again. I thought he learned. What a pain in the you know what!!!
