This game will be played outside as part of Hockey day Rochester on Jan. 23. What are your thoughts and predictions on Round 2 at the Fairgrounds outside Graham Arena? I say JM 4 Mayo 3 in OT.

I was able to see Mayo play when they came up to Hibbing and they didn't fare very well. They are definately having a down year because their normally very competitve. I'll take the Rockets in this rivalry.

The weather doesn't look so good. I hope the forecast is wrong so this can take place.

90% chance of freezing rain all day on Saturday. Doesn't look favorable that this is going to happen. You could do it if it was snow but not rain. The temp is going to be somewhere around 36 degrees so snow is not probable. To bad I am sure there is alot of work that was put into this. If it doesn't happen hopefully they plan it for next year.

JM wins 4-2 in a sloppy outside hockey game. Mayo needs a win to turn this season around.

Maybe if the youth program has more than one Bantam/Peewee A team the High Schools would be better.

He's coming back next year according to the athletic director for Mayo. He also said that he's locked up for the next four years.

Good Grief!! There are numerous reasons for the struggles that the Rochester High Schools have fielding competitive teams and that one above is near the bottom of the list.

Exactly Bucky....like half as many traditional hockey players as Cottage Grove or Woodbury....and no year-round training program.....and spoiled white collar kids.....the list goes on.....
