I have only heard good things about going to section final games at both of these places. The thing is I can only go to one of them... If you had to pick which would you go to and why? all info helps...

Go to the Target Center for the section 2AA and 6AA championships. These will be two fantastic games between some very good teams, you'll definitely get your money's worth.

I think most would agree that the best day at the DECC isn't finals night, but Semifinal Saturday the weekend before. The fans for the second game usually show up for the first one and take sides (read: root against East), which makes for great atmosphere.
Not sure if it's an option for you, but I'd recommend going to the DECC for semifinals and the Coliseum for finals.

As far as arenas go....................they both suck. But at playoff time who cares what rink it's at. Coliseum usually has a double-header going for a couple of finals nights.

If the section final is Grand Rapids vs. Duluth East, then definetly the DECC. You should go to the semi-finals on Feb. 27 for sure in Duluth. Gophers are in Duluth too that weekend. Anyways, the crowds are always big, and if you go to the semi's you'll better be able to decide on the finals. One thing about the Final is that both bands are there and it definetly adds to the atmosphere, especially with the GR band cuz they are so loud.

no doubt.. the few times ive been to the state tourney and GR is there... its very enjoyable watching their very large student section and great band playing... hopefully they will be there this year. but they havnt seemed to strong this year judging by their record

Look at the scores though, they lost to East by 1, and lost to Elk River by 1. Those are the two that will be seeded ahead of them. I don't know if GR will reach the state tourney, they are capable, but they certainly have the team to upset ER or DE in the semi's.
decc vs. coliseum
