2 spots below Lakeville South.

Wonder what HSHW, Karl and crew have to say about that.

Well.... how does Pagestat feel that Goldfishdude has never heard of them, nor will Goldfishdude ever visit their site???

They're wrong. Our boys are right.

 @ Goldy's clips.

What do I have to say about it? Not a whole lot. Though I hold PS2 in higher regard than many, it's a different ranking system with a different opinion on how to do things. If I always agreed with it, I wouldn't waste my time doing rankings.

I appreciate what Lee does with PS2, and I enjoy looking at the rankings. But as his own disclaimer states, you wouldn't get rich in Vegas using it. It has its value, but it's far from gospel. (Not trying to imply that mine are, either. Just different perspectives, and with mine, you're going to get a lengthy argument over why I do what I do.)

I like Lee's rankings becaus he ranks all teams and if my team isn't a top 10-15 team (they haven't been in years) I can still see where they stack up. Personally I think he overvalues northern teams while undervaluing Lake teams but other than last season when Eden Prairie broke through he's been right, the Lake hasn't faired very well against other top teams.

Besides most season, including this one, you're splitting hairs in teams 10-30 anyhow.

1. They are a defensive team so they don't score many goals.

2. Is last season still a part of the equation?

3. It's a computer system. Additionally, it's not ranking the teams per se, it's ranking the team's results with their schedules

4. Breck is at #6 despite only playing a couple good teams.

Like Karl said, it's one person's interpretation of how to weigh what teams do.

I was just trying to needle you guys and the Eagan faithful a little bit here. :D

Personally, I found it rather shocking they were that low.

I'm not. Their GF/GA differential is +26. That loss to Eden Prairie dropped their goal differential average from 2.46/game to 1.86. Add that to their strength of schedule (currently ranked 25th) and you can see why PageStat has them ranked where they are. They have a nice 11-2-1 record but it hasn't been done against an overwhelming schedule. They've only played two games against teams rated higher than them in the ratings.

This illustrates the point, in my opinion, of how winning the games is more important than blowing out teams.

Eagan has a better record against common opponents than Jefferson, but Jefferson's goal differential is much better. So we pick the team that wins big when they win, but doesn't win as much and has a head to head loss.

I don't think any legitimate poll could have them any lower than 15 or so. Believe me, it pains me to say that.
