We've had great reaction to the Girls Games. I went to the Minnetonka/Hopkins Girls game on Saturday. Let me tell you, any Boy, through Bantams would be hard pressed to keep up with those Girls. They were awesome skaters and puckhandlers.

Just curious, MyFOX, what are the numbers for hits on the site or #s streaming between the boys' games and the girls' games?
But, also, Roseauoverrated, the vast majority of nights, the boys and girls play on different nights, and if there isn't boys action, it doesn't hurt to show a girls game.
However, when you look at the amount of posts:
HS Girls Forum : 32,990
HS Boys Forum: 219,289
Again, these are just POSTS, not views of each individual thread.
So, if this Index is a fair representative of the potential viewers for MyFOXhockey.com, the numbers suggest it wouldn't be the best business decision to show a girls hockey game over a boys hockey game if there is a choice on a given night.

Also, MyFOX, is there anything on YOUR end that would allow for more full screen viewing, versus the picture the size of a match book?

There should be a button at the bottom right that allows you to go full screen with it.

I will try it again, but for the East vs Rapids game, it only allowed me to increase to a full screen mode, but the picture stayed tiny. Maybe it's my laptop???

It worked fine when I watched the girls' games.

So you mean to tell me that on thursday Tonka vs Hopkins is a bigger game than Edina vs Wayzata? Let's just say the game you're broadcasting will be a little one sided.

I'd rather watch GIRLS basketball than boys basketball. Every point is vital to the win!

You're one night too early!
And I think I can help with the full screen versus small box issue. Once you click on the full screen icon and get it to go to the full screen, then right-click on the small box that is showing the game and click on one of the options like "Fit" or "Stretch" and it will fill up your screen.

Goldfish:
I think the problem is on your end. Try a Right Mouse Click over the image and you should get some sizing options. I have to blow mine up, but it looks great once I do.
The technical problems of a few years ago are gone. My Fox has done a great job.

Pete w/MYFOXHOCKEY.COM,
Great job flying solo last night on the Tonka v Hopkins game! We certainly missed Bart but I can't tell you how much fun we had watching the game last night which is a treat for us out of towners. Got a lot of texts from my MN buds who are out of state who were loving the action. They all want to know how you are so darn good at picking the games... I think a lot of folks were questioning that game pick for Myfox...Everyone should know you never undersestimate the Fons and the Royals in the Pavillion... despite the shot tally which had to be 50 to 15 in favor of Tonka the score was relatively close until the end... Looks like the Fons took a summer class net dislocation because he is the best in the state at it...

Everytime Tonka's top line started the machine gun cycling drill with rapid fire shots on net I would count to three shots and surprise... the net would pop off... What a competitor that kid is..

Thanks for the comments! Positive or negative, feedback is a good thing.
Let me address the decision to provide coverage of the girls games. 1) Their game deserves to be covered. 2) Providing more girls coverage was the number one question we were asked following last season. Which is the reason we picked up as much volleyball and girls hockey as we did this year. Don't feel the need to justify it by numbers (page views/unique users etc) as there is an audience.
Factsmatter: Pete is solid on the mic. His passion for the sport is unmatched. My opinion: He should be doing this at a higher level...so I'll enjoy working with him while I have the opportunity.
youngbloodjr: We are making the attempt to criss cross the state. If we simply focused on the top ten, I am not doing my job in growing the MFH brand across the state.
I am 100% confident with the schedule we put out. In three weeks we will have provided coverage for 61 games...I know for a fact that number is unmatched.
Thanks for the continued support. We feel great about being able to promote high school hockey in our state.
Cheers,
Doug (FOX Preps & My FOX Hockey)
