Huge 2A/conference/private school/etc rivalry. Can the Bears pull off the big upset?

Breck 6-1

Highly unlikely....Unless we are talking about 2011.

Hell yes the bears can pull off the upset. Blake has an exceptional team this year and they will make it a game. Granted Breck is the heavy favorite for good reason but this rivalry is the equal to Warroad Roseau or Tonka Edina for the guys who play in it, you never know whats gonna happen. For example last year Breck demolished the bears 6-0 in their own barn but the next game only a week later was 4-2 in breck's favor with an empty netter.

Ill take Blake 2-1 this year

Where is the game being played? If @ Breck then the Mustangs 7-1 if at Blake then 5-2. Da Beers won't be able to keep up with them but they have been playing surprisingly well. Should be a fun game to watch and could be a section championship preview.

Blake is overrated. 8-1 Breck.

Blake will be fired up for this rivalry game for sure, but I just don't see them pulling off the upset this year and certainly not @ Breck. I'm going with the Mustangs in a 6-2 game.

Breck 4-2 eng. Bears are better than I thought.

Breck has been playing down to their opponents, with the exception of the Shattuck game. They have the skaters to entirely humiliate Blake if they choose to give a real effort. If the effort and desire show up Thursday this could be a six or seven goal differential in favor of Breck. Better forwards, Defense and goaltending!

Game is at Breck, makes things worse for Blake...

Breck will put quality shots on net, it will be interesting to see Hayes against the Fulton, Morin, Borer line. Hayes is a very good netminder, but he will be seeing scoring opportunities from all over the place. Mooney and Rudnick have some of the heaviest shots from the point that hayes will have ever seen!

Blake forwards had a difficult time with the Tonka D, as all others have as well! They will have an equally difficult assignment with the Breck D.

I would say they would have a little bit more difficulty with Tonka's D

I was at the game, Breck was sluggish in the first two periods! Missed a lot of passes they normally would make. The break out was stymied up the walls and created a few opportunities for Blake. Blake lost its intensity in the third when the outcome was no longer in doubt. In the end the Mustangs had far too much speed and skill for blake to contend with. My bet is that the next game at Blake will be even more lopsided!

Nice try! I`m a Blake graduate! happen to know many of the Blake and Breck players and families!
