I think before people make predictions, maybe they should see what happens with the Forest Lake vs WBL game Tues Fed 2... The outcome of that game may have a tremendous effect on the WBL vs Stillwater game.

Very true, we'll see if I need a prediction change after that...

Seriously :?: C'mon people, its WBL vs SW. Barring any WBL injuries, I cannot believe the Bears would be any less prepared or motivated for the Ponies.

Assuming the Ponies have their goalie sitch somewhat settled... I'll predict the Ponies take this one on Josh Gunderson Night, by a score of 5-3.

Yes could fans please wear red to honor Josh Gunderson

Ill take the Ponies 4-2, they should be motivated and ready to play and this could be a future section matchup. Should be a good one.

Does RED and ORANGE really go together? I wouldn't want to clash!

How about Stillwater wear Red for Josh, and WBL wear Orange for Josh. I'm sure there will be many supporters in his honor on both sides.

Forget the poor color choices, WBL will have some red for the ceremony I can tell you that.

Any details on what part of the game the ceremony will be in?

Between the Varsity and JV members of Josh's family will be present.

Thanks for the support WBL fans.

The Bears have been giving up a lot of goals lately, and I don't think Gjerde will be back yet. So....

Still - 5
WBL - 4

Section seedings still up in the air as these two split the season series.

If WBL can stay out of the penalty box, I see them winning this one.

Does anybody know if the HS games use the "No Mark" pucks that the youth use at St. Croix? I hate those things. They don't slide like a normal puck does.

Seeing that both teams need this win, its a good SEC rivalry, this should be a real good game. And given all that there is no way WB stays out of the penalty box. I'm thinking its gonna be a real physical game but WBL comes out on top 4-3.

WBL vs Stillwater

Reds a good color representing a great kid who played his butt since he has been on skates.

and when did blaze orange become cool? I thought only sconnies wear that and we all know sconnies aren't the best dressed people around.

Yeah we already discussed with the B about some red for Thursday.

It became cool when we realized you could stop at the Fleet Farm in WBL and buy some super warm, insulated school spirit. 8)

Yahhhh!

But on a serious note, I think you need to be institutionalized.

Out of the Stillwater Gazette

Ponies to host Josh Gunderson Night on Thursday at the SCVRC
Published: Monday, February 1, 2010 4:17 PM CST
Stillwater graduate Josh Gunderson, a former captain of the boys' hockey team, will be honored during an on-ice presentation on Thursday prior to Stillwater's Suburban East Conference game against White Bear Lake at the St. Croix Valley Rec Center.

Gunderson passed away last March at the age of 20 while on spring break in Mexico.

During the ceremony, which will feature family, friends and former teammates, his jersey will be dedicated to his mother Liz, followed by a brief presentation about Goals of the Heart. The Stillwater Mite 3 team, which features two of Gunderson's cousins, will also take part in the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at approximately 6:45 p.m.

The Goals of the Heart Foundation purchased four new sets of goalie equipment for the Stillwater Youth Hockey Association and also paid for all 29 families that submitted economic hardship applications to play hockey last year.

Donations to the Josh Gunderson Memorial Foundation will also be accepted during the evening in the concourse.

Former players are asked to contact XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for additional details about the on-ice appearance. Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear red in honor of Gunderson for the game against one of Stillwater's biggest rivals.
