Section seedings should be intresting. How do you think it will end up?

Spuds and Rams split. Spuds won the first game with Bra (one more to play). Bra beat the Rams and have one game left with the Spuds. If Bra beats the Spuds, could they get the #1 seed?

Spuds dont have the greatest record but they obviously have sos on their side. Bra and Rams have better records but their sos doesn't compare to the Spuds. How does this factor into section seedings?

My prediction..Rams and Bra will have a rematch in sections and the winner will face the Spuds.

Bemidji is average, Brainerd is above average.

History tells us that

Brainerd is well above average. Moorhead is average. Roseau is average. Bemidji is average. The rest...

Watch out metro. Average teams up north usually make the front page in March.

Tech got the win over Roseau today. IF Moorhead pulls out the win at Brainerd today that will put them at #1.

This might get Tech the 4 seed, but I think Roseau's well enough locked in at #3 to hold on.

Elliot is spot on. Hard to believe that River Lakes is going to be seeded higher than Buffalo. If Brainerd indeed gets the 2 seed, it will be a rematch of last years Quarter Final match-up. I am guessing the score will be the same, only with a different winner.

Well, after some shocking seeding... Roseau (SOMEHOW????) walks away with a very undeserved 2 seed, and Brainerd a disrespected 3 seed. I look forward to watching Roseau's season end on their home ice though!

What a big pile of BS .. And Bemidji is a big part of that pile. Must not be able to figure out that if you beat Bemidji, Roseau, Tech 2 times and lost to Moorhead 2 times that you should be number 2. Big Lake... obviously is voting on "tradition" same with Monticello...

Again what a joke.

Actually you can go to the High School League website and see how each school voted. It is there right now and can be seen by anyone. Against common opponents, Roseau was 7 and 2 and Brainerd was 5-3. Brainerd won the head to head contest by a goal in their building. Roseau split with Moorhead, split with Tech and defeated Alex. Brainerd lost 2 to Moorhead, won 2 against Tech and lost to Alex. Bemidji gave the nod to Roseau after playing both and Buffalo gave the nod to Roseau, probably because they haven't played Brainerd. I can see where some would be upset, because Brainerd won head to head, but all things considered I don't think it was a huge stretch to give Roseau that spot.

I guess thats what 7 titles and about 30 appearances gets them.

a perfect demonstration of ignorance and the good ole girl syndrome, in our every so pure sport! It looks like someone interrupted the basketball game to take a vote! It unfortunate when this crap is allowed to tarnish our image.

i was alittle upset to see roso get number 2 seed i was really looking forward to watching the boys end brainerds season on their ice but roseaus ice will have to do. it will save some gas and i can think about how long that trip back must be for all those great fans after the lose..

We can argue all we want but the seeds are set. Lets go on with the predictions.

Brainerd over Buffalo (I hope Brainerd takes some frustration out on Buffalo)
Roseau over Monticello

Semi Finals
Moorhead over Bemidji (I really want to pick Bemidji here, but just cant bring myself to doing it)
Roseau over Brainerd (What a shame that it will be played in Roseau. Brainerd earned the right to have this one at home)

Finals
Moorhead over Roseau (Should be a good hockey game between above average teams)

This happens at seeding meetings all the time. Finally some teams in this section with a breath of hope. My moneys still on Rams-Spuds. Is it at the Baby Ralph again up in TRF?
