Hopefully the ER kids are having some fun this year. This will be another blowout for them to deal with but maybe they can score a goal or two and take something positive away from the game.

My prediction

Ponies 8

ER 2

It's as worthy of discussion as all of your recruited Hill-Murray Pioneers are worthy of discussion.

The last game was minus 3 skaters and the normal starting goalie. This may not be the blowout predicted.....The ER kids are having fun and gaining a lot of valuable experience. In regards to the elitist PioneerPrideGuy.....EVERY game is worthy of discussion, not just he recruits at HM.

That's right, I forgot about that. They will have McDonough in the net and he is really developing into an excellent goalie from what I've heard (lots and lots of shots against obviously).

Regarding if this match up is worth discussing? ER kids may lose, but they certainly do not deserve to be ignored! They go to the rink every day and work to get better like every kid playing hockey their age.

I can understand the occassional post regarding East Ridge. The kids have played a varsity scheule with a glorified JV. Their future looks bright and they deserve kudos for their efforts. But another discussion about Stillwater? I believe they have a poll/thread for every game. Pretty lame for an average team.

Pretty lame and average but funny how you manage to show up on everyone of those threads, PPG. That lack of "Community" over at Hill got you down? Those Hill players must be pretty bored also if they had to show up and watch the Cloquet game.

Stillwater is only an average team because they lose many of their players to the east metro's recruiting powerhouse.

Just an interesting tidbit. I have heard that they are going to allow open enrollment with in the district next year. obviously, I think this will get interesting as far as Eastridge sports are concerned. I think you may end up seeing an exodus of some players going back to where they played prior to being forced to go to Eastridge due to the bounderies being set last year. some of the Park kids I am sure would have liked to be playing with the kids they grew up in the system with. That being said, how many others would like to be playing for Wes Bolin and the Royals as well? Eastridge has the oportunity to turn in to the Bloomington Kenedy of the east metro. What are your thoughts? :?:

It will be a very limited transfer option.

Perhaps, but at least most of the public schools play with their home grown talent.

Not a single one of Hill-Murray's players transferred from Stillwater High School. Some did play in the Stillwater Youth Association. They are not the same thing.

But, they were all meant to play at Stillwater.

how many of them went to stillwater public school and not a private school for k-8?

people seem to forget this. these kids are not committed to play for the hometown high school, they didnt sign a contract or anything. They have the same choice everyone does to go to public or private school.

But, they did sign a contract to have their tuition payed in full when agreeing to play hockey for your beloved Pioneers.

Those Stillwater kids had a big night.

We were able to watch the last 5 mins of the game after our U16 game was over. I believe that was McDonough in the goal? Wow, he kicked out like 35 shots. That kid has come a long way.

PPG usually has some funny comments, or some productive things to add to the conversation. Not to mention, he's shown he's not afraid to doubt his own team.

Where as anytime I ever see Sachi posting anywhere, it's a shot at another team or poster. No one appreciates posting for shock value.

As for the game, ER's goal-tending is shaping up and they'll be looking good in the coming seasons. This was a good loss for ER and a bad win for Stillwater.

you pick up on things fast

When people are ignorant and say things that are completely false, im sorry, I just like to set things straight.
