I was at the GR VS FL earlier this year, it was a fun game to watch and I can't speak for FL but Rapids has changed alot since then and are much stronger now and always pick it up during the playoffs. Unless FL can contain Rapids 1st line-this game won't be close.
I:ll say

GR-5
FL-2

Forest Lake only has five seniors. They are not close to the same team that beat Rapids at Rapids 20 games ago. Lets not forget the scimmage after tryouts that was dominated by F.L. These kids are a much better high school hockey team than Rapids saw before. F.L. moves on to the decc. GO RANGERS

Unfortunately it looks like Forest Lake by a score of 4-1. I'm looking forward to seeing this game. Rapids doesn't have any quality wins, Forest Lake does. Rapids will play hard, but I think Forest Lake will start pulling away late in the second period.

FL-5 GR-2

The rangers were better 20 games ago, and they've progressed a lot. GR has not made as many improvements as Forest Lake has this season.

You've seen Rapids play a lot this year? Otherwise, you really can't make that statement.

It will be interesting to see how Forest Lake handles being people's "Darling" team and a team some people think can win this section. I see them winning tonight at home, then things get a little tougher. This time of year, seniors realize their playing days are coming to an end, so they usually step. With very few seniors on FL, I wonder if the young guns can carry the load this time of year. Last year's experience of playing in a section final will definately help. Should be interesting.

I'm sure if they had played in the Section Final, then yes it would be good experience. As it is however, they were ousted in the Semi-Finals by Duluth East after an amazing game by Paul Moberg.

You make some very good points, and if the team fails to advance the only people to feel bad for, would be those five seniors, the rest will have more opportunities. This year will be excellent preparation for next year  For the senior's sake, I hope they go a long way.

With the exception of Cloquet and Princeton who have already played a game in the 7AA tourney, all of them are 0-0.
