The semi-finals for these sections are going to be fun.

The BIG facility schedule shows...
3:30 to 5:30 - 6AA Playoff
7:30 to 10:00 - 2AA Playoff

Assuming the favorites win, the Edina/AHA battle would be the 7:30 game.

Does anybody have any inside information?

I hope this is right, because I will have a tough time getting to BIG by 3:30.
Usually the times come out after the teams are in place.

I called Braemar and the schedule is as follows:

12:00 Section 6AA
4:00 Section 2AA

Obviously if Edina wins, they play at BIG and if Jefferson wins they play at Braemar. Does anyone know how they determine what 6AA games are played at which rink?

Braemar holds about twice as many people as BIG, so I assume they would put the game in Braemar that is likely to draw the bigger crowd. My guess is you will get huge crowds for the noon and night games, somewhat less for the overlapping afternoon games.

The 2 v. 3 semifinal games will be as entertaining as most of the State Tournament games. And the Section finals will be even better, whoever makes it there. And don't bet your house on the No 1 seeds.

I hope they leave time for extra periods.

Don't quote me, but someone posted about the bigger games. I would guess that Minnetonka will play the early game against either Hopkins or Benilde and the later game will be Jefferson and Burnsville.
At BIG the same will happen except the bigger game will be late, so the early game will be EP vs Wayzata and the late game will be AHA and Edina. If all goes as the section plans.


But then again, i could be completely wrong and Edina/AHA could be the early game at Big and Tonka will be the late at Braemar.....we will have to wait and see.....
