I spoke to one of our District Directors about 2-3 weeks ago. He thought that the letters would be in the mail on or around 2/22. I would venture to say that you'll be seeing them show up later on this week or sometime next.

Most are posted on their respective District website. You can find links to the District websites on the Minnesota Hockey website.

Thanks. I looked up all the Districts, only 1,6 and 10 have them posted. Maybe most don't post.

Did anyone have an opportunity to see the Adv 15 tournament this weekend? Were there any players in particular that stood out? If I recall correctly, I believe the decision to get down to the final 102 players for the Mankato camp is supposed to come out later on this week?

D2 and D6 were both very good as expected (not sure which one won the showdown).
D3 was very good and hung with D6 in the game I saw.
D1 went 3-0 in the 4-team pool and probably belonged in the 8-team bracket over a couple others--they had to play D2 and D3 in the play-in.

It would be a God-awful mess of a job to have to pick 100 players out of that tournament--no girl should get discouraged if they don't get picked. A few are obvious but many are very close and it's a crapshoot.

As an avid Roseville follower, has anyone heard how Kate Flug did during these tryouts?

She would fall into the 'obvious' category.

Both are incorrect.

Championship: D6 over D2 score was 4 or 5 to 0

Third Place: D3 over D8 in shootout.

District 5 clearly had the top team sending all but 4 players to mankato they clearly dominated this tournament.

How did D5 dominate the tournament and get 16 players selected to continue if they played for last place out of 8 teams?

you couldn't be implying that players aren't always chosen on purely ability to advance are you?

Of course not, I would never make that implication in a million years.
