If they both play the way they did on Tuesday, Flake wins easily. I'll say 5-2.

The Elks will play much better then they did Tuesday. Yes, we were lucky to get out of the rink that night, but the slapper from the blue line in OT....is a sign of good things to come!

My logic is similar to above...Flake just because. It would be great for a program. Boys played hard all year.

Since FLake is my upset special, I have to go with them.

Anders Franke has been a pretty darn good goalie, in his second year for Elk River, and just a sophomore. But I like the way Christian Gaffy is playing in nets for FLake.

FLAKE 2-1..... and a dandy of a game.

But.. I also thought Russia v Canada was going to be a great game.

As for the game, Flake is on a roll. Jawbreak River has had problems recently.

So, Elk River by two. Sentimental favorite here is obviously Forest Lake. Would be a huge step for their program to reach the section finals. Where will the East fans be sitting for this one? I think I know. A new Alliance, perhaps?

Rangers are playing well. They skate hard anything can happen. Elk River can't take this group of kids for pushovers. They have enjoyed a great deal of success in Baseball, Football, and Bantam A. GO RANGERS!!!!

Who did Elk River beat this year that makes them such a powerhouse. [ if they sneak by the Rangers East will beat them by 5]

I picked Forest Lake to make it to the final when the seedings came out, and I'm sticking to it.
