Benilde-St. Margaret's (17-6-3) vs Minnetonka (23-1-2) 2/27

Minnetonka will face their former coach yet again this Saturday in the 6AA semifinal. Game is at the Bloomington Ice Garden with face-off scheduled for 3:30pm. Thoughts?

Only one player on current tonka team played for Pauly (A. Prochno), so it's not like they are facing their old coach.
Tonka will shut down the Besse line and win 4-1.

Lundquist also played a fair amount under Pauly as a Freshman as well. You're right though, I wasn't trying to point out the specific players were playing against their old coach, more that the Minnetonka program will play against their former coach.
As for the game, I expect the Red Knights to put up a better fight than most believe but I think Tonka will just be too much for them. Final 3-1.

I'm definitely excited for this match up.. the section game two years ago was unreal.

I'm pulling for Benilde, but realistically everything - and I mean everything - will have to go right for them to win this game.
Meyer has to dominate for Benilde here

Jake Meyer has to prove he is a top goalie here. Benilde probaby has not the better defense playing in front of Meyer, unlike the tonka defense. This will be a very close game, look for Meyer to play a solid game here, but Tonka is too good to lose.

I think that this game will be a blowout for Tonka: 7-2 skippers. BSM has one good Dman in Patrick Daly and the skippers have 3 D1 dmen. Plus BSM only plays like 8 guys the whole game so they will get worn down.

Gotta go with Tonka due to their depth but I have the utmost respect for Jake Meyers. I wouldn't underestimate that lad. If it's a close game, I think it could further damage Tonka's confidence going into a Sectional final game with Wayzata (think they will handle EP nicely). What a day it will be!

Minnetonka wants that championship, but they won't look past a team as good as BSM.
I predict this to be one of the best games of the year..

Correction - EP. Didn't see that one coming. Wayzata had a nice season. Sorry to see it end. Good luck to the seniors.
Maybe BSM will upset Tonka's ship? Strange but fun time of year.
