Here is why...
They don't have to play excuse me hockey since there are no more fair play points to earn.
My guess is they will bring a different brand of hockey to the playoffs. but so will everyone else who wants to go to the right side of the bracket.

EP Black lost one fair play point all season long.
Well, you either play rough or you don't and they don't, nobody is so disciplined to turn it on/off just like that. If EP had that kind of discipline they would not have had to wait for Navy to blow it in order to make playoffs.
Now, EP might try to play rough in order to throw RAVE off its game which seem to have worked for NSP-twice, however, that will translate into penalties, power plays, and goals against, and EP Black is not NSP. NSP is the best, just ask them
Don't take me wrong, RAVE is far from being unbeatable and I doubt they will go far, but I don’t think EP Black is up to the task.

how have the East Teams fared against the West teams when they've met in tournaments?

we beat orange and let them come back from being down two goals the second time we played them and rave got killed by a canadian team the orange beat like 6-0 so i think if anybody from the east wins on saturday it'll be wbl orange

Tournaments are not the same as playoffs. You can lose a tournament game and it's no biggie cause your season isn't over. No backs against the wall.
WBL O has split against Burnsville. Played horribly against Way Gold lost 6-1.Beat EP Black 3-2 or 3-1? Lost to Edina Green at home by too much to post here. We'll see if they come to play. I know the coach will do his job.
Wouldn't it be nice to play in D8 this year...It's like a free pass to state.

Haven't you guys filled out a tournament board for march madness or even a board for the HS tourney...well, EP Black is my upset. Realistically, no I don't think that they will beat Rave but they are my upset. So IF they can get some shots on that Rave goalie THEY WILL GO IN.

Well...The stars appear all in a row for the EP Black team. After they lose to Edina Green today they will crossover to play the winner of Tartan vs Wayzata Blue.
Teams that kind of back into the playoffs have nothing to lose.

I agree with all accept Wayzata Blue will go down in flames against Tartan
Tartan by 3 or 4
Rave will beat NSP in OT

Wayzata Gold- 5
Edina White- 1
Edina Green will MURDER EP, Burnsville may come in too cocky against WBL-Orange, so I think that game will be too close to call. OT finish. Roseville will beat North Metro. RAVE will beat NSP in OT (they won't play awful two games in a row), Wayzata will beat Tartan

Edina-Green 6
EP-Black 2

Burnsville - 3
WBL Orange - 2
Good game mostly because it was close. WBL missed an open net late in the second. Shots I would guess were 35 to 18 in Burnsville's favor. (unofficial)

Still haven't seen a score from the Tartan/Wayzata Blue game
But...
WBL Orange should prevail?
Rave over Edina White maybe
EP Black over either team.
All 3 games should be 1 goal games.

Blue beat Tartan 4-2...
I've got WBL Orange over Roseville today 4-2
Edina White over Rave 3-1
Blue over EP Black 5-2

WBL Orange went down in flames today 5 - 1
We out played them in the 2nd and only managed 1 goal. That was after a bad first period start spotting them 3 goals in the first. Too many turnovers in our own end doesn't help.
No bounces went WBL's way today. Good luck to Roseville in state. They may be the only team from the east in state if Rave doesn't win.
