Being a young adult my most fond memories of the state tournament came from the days of Spehar, Welch, and the famous commentator that gave such a passion into his job. However, I recently realized I do not know what his name was. Can anyone help me?

I'm guessing you're referring to Wally Shaver. No doubt, Wally was the MAN!

I'm trying to remember the name of the guy that used to call the games when the tourney was broadcast on WCCO Channel 4 back in the late 80s/early 90s...anyone?
