Twin Ports Prep Gold Summaries for Week 1

The following summaries are from the Twin Ports Prep Gold League. Mostly JV players or Upper Bantams.
Super 8-4, Bachand Group-3
Super 8 holds off a ferocious comeback attempt by
Bachand Group and wins it 4-3. The game winning goal
was scored by David Misiak (Proctor). Having a good
game for Super 8 was Adam Swanson (Pine City) with
a goal and an assist. Bachand Group was led by Jake
Spencer (Hermantown) as he had one goal and
two helpers in the game.
Miken Hockey-7, Bachand Group-3
What a game for Jesse Scanlon (Proctor) as he led Miken
Hockey to a 7-3 win over the Bachand Group. Scanlon
Just kept lighting the lamp as he scored four to lead the
way. Steve Maciver (Central) had a great game as well
as he picked up a goal and added four helpers.
Gunnar Kubera (Proctor) had a goal and an assist for the
Bachand Group.
Northern Lumber-3, Super 8-2
In a see-saw affair Northern Lumber holds off Super 8
by a 3-2 score. Super 8 started the scoring early as
Wyatt Kleinsasser (Pine City) lit the lamp. Shortly
thereafter Lane LeGarde (Hermantown) scored to tie
it up at one. Later in the period Matt Branovan (East)
scored to make it 2-1 Northern Lumber after one. Super
8's Jacob Kleinsasser (Pine City) scored the only goal in
the second period. Midway through the third period
Max Butler (Hibbing) was the hero for Northern Lumber
Scoring the game winning goal. Both goalies were great
as Braxton Lahti(Superior) stopped 25 for the victors
and Brandon Ische (Grand Rapids) stopped 28 in defeat.
