Others with local ties.

9 Derek Forbot US-18 (Duluth East)
18 Tyler Pitlick MSU-Mankato (Centennial)
38 Jarred Tinordi US -18 (Father Mark was playing for the North Stars 18 years ago, not sure if he was born/ever skated here?)
54 Joe Basaraba Shattuck (Canada, UMD recruit)
56 Justin Faulk US-18 (South St. Paul)
81 Jason Clark Shattuck (Eden Prairie)

Goalies
31 Jacob Meyers Benilde

Was Ben Marshall dropped from the rankings or is he not eligible until the 2011 draft? I thought he was on the mid-term rankings.

I thought this is the forum where we demonize players who leave school early? ;)

Where do you show Meyers ranked 31? The list I found only goes to 30.

Marshall dropped out.

70 Kevin Gravel - Sioux City-USHL (SCSU recruit, son of native Minnesotan Jim Gravel who played for SCSU alongside Jeff Passolt)
134 Nick Mattson - Indiana-USHL (Chaska HS)

Well there isn't a NTDP forum just yet
And you're right, I saw Meyers at 31 on the mid-term rankings when I went back to look for Marshall (which I confirmed Marshall was 201 at mid-term, and dropped from the final rankings)

Maybe viewed as smallish and somewhat one dimensional?

Or they expect him to regress when playing college.

Interesting to note that 38 of the 240 North Americans listed by CSB as playing "high school hockey" this year (this includes the Prep schools).

Of the 38:
16 New England Prep School (9 MA, 4 CT, 2 NH, 1 NY)
15 Minnesota HS
4 Shattuck
1 Massachusetts HS
1 Michigan HS
1 New Jersey HS

Also of note:
25 USHL
6 EJHL
2 Midget AAA
1 NAHL

Ranked College players who have a 2010 draft year:
WCHA:2
CCHA:1
ECAC:1
H-East:1

Some Canuck Leagues:
53 OHL
53 WHL
30 QMJHL

Does anyone know where all the midget AAA kids are in this draft? I see 2 kids. What about the MWEHL with Chicago Mission, Detroit Little Ceasars, etc etc?? Reason I ask is because I'd love to continue believing that MN HS hockey is superior to midget AAA. :P

The best kids from those programs usually bail out after midget minor... either to the NTDP, to the USHL, to the NAHL, or occasionally to Major Juniors.

Or if they do play Midget Major (U18) they usually move on before they turn 18.

That's an interesting enough question that I looked it up last night.

I counted 28 players listed that had played in the MWEHL at some point(and I may have missed one or two) and 19 that had played high school hockey in Minnesota at some point. There were 10 kids in the top 100 skaters for the MWEHL, to 8 for the MSHSL. Each had one goalie inside the top 10, but the MWEHL had six total goalies ranked to just one for Minnesota.

That's actually a little closer than I thought it might be.
