Summaries from the Gold level of the Twins Ports Prep Hockey League.
Miken Hockey-4, Super 8-2
A back and forth evenly played game. Miken was trailing 2-1 in the third period and exploded for three late goals to win it 4-2. Miken was led by Ty Rackliffe (Proctor) with two goals. Jesse Scanlon (Proctor) added 1g and 1a for Miken. Super 8 goals were scored by Jacob Kleinsasser (Pine City) and T.J. Lyle (Marshall). Morgan Nygaard (Central) stopped 22 of 24 for the victors.
Northern Lumber-5, Bachand Group-1
Northern Lumber came ready to play in this one in the 5-1 win. Matt Branovan (East) led the way with a goal and two assists. Pat Potswald and Travis Samuelson (Both from Denfeld) each had 1g and 1a. Logan Veillieux(International Falls) scored the Bachand goal.
Bachand Group-11, Super 8-6
In the most improbable game you would watch Super 8 stormed out to a 5-1 lead then Bachand went nuts scoringan amazing 10 of 11 goals wo win it 11-6. Having an incredible day was Cody Mercier(Proctor) with 2g & 5a.Scoring four goals was Grant Sega (Hermantown). Picking up 1G and 3a was Terry Griffiths (Marshall). Having good games for Super 8 was Adam Swanson (Pine City) and T.J. Lyle (Marshall) each with 2g &1a. Goalie Paul Hegstrom (Proctor) played great in his half stopping 15 of 16 shots.

Northern Lumber ate their Wheaties after the second period turning a 2-2 game into a 6-3 win. Leading the way was both Chris Benson & Lane LeGrade (both Hermantown) with 2g &1a. Picking up four helpers was Bo Gronseth (Hermantown). Miken was led by Jesse Scanlon (Proctor)with two goals. Braxton Lahti (Superior) stopped 27 of 30.
