The Twin Ports Prep Platinum Summaries for week two
Edge 5, Subway 4
The first game of the year went down to the wire as The Edge defeated Subway 5-4. Leading the way for the Edge was Tyler LaBeaux (St. Francis) with two goals. Zach Foesch (St. Francis) had a goal and an assist for the Edge. Subway was led by Jordan Buetow (Denfeld) with 1g & 1a
Grandma's 5, Perkins 5
In a wild back and forth game Perkins scored a goal to tie it up with just over a minute left to tie the game at 5. Grandma's was led by Steve Spencers (Hermantowns) hat-trick. Scoring the game-tying goal for Perkins was Tyler Pionk (Proctor). He also chipped in an assist. Mike Andrews (Central) also had a goal and an assist.
Blackwoods 2, Subway 1
In a battle of the netminders it was The Edge's Logan Koskela (Eveleth) outdueling Subways Mike Anderson (Marshall) 2-1. Koskela stopped 34 and Anderson 27 in the game. Jared Thomas (Hermantown) & Nolan Holcombe (Superior scored for Blackwoods. Jake Bushey (Marshall)scored the lone Subway goal.
