A very reliable source is telling me that Chris Student is transferring to the UofM for next season. Where do people see him fitting into the Gopher line up?

If he were wanted at the U, he would have to sit out a year due to eligibility reasons. Plus, he would have to compete to earn a spot.Goldy Gopher wrote:A very reliable source is telling me that Chris Student is transferring to the UofM for next season. I don't think Student is even close to the player Genoway is. Better find a better comparision.murray wrote:chey genoway? he's huge. as for "insert new nickname here" they got beat by a team from out east this year to end their time as the Sousie. too bad. just bought a yale jersey, oh yeah and they had a roster loaded with huge d-men.
It's telling you something if he can't play at Northeastern, but can play with the gophers? He wasn't recurited by the gophers 2 years ago, so why would they take him now? Student will never be the player that Genoway is, be realistic.murray wrote:sure he's not the player genoway is. yet, we'll have to see. but the point is chey is a "smaller" d man. But the larger point is yale has guys on their roster that are not "big" d'men either. morale of story, size is just one cog in the machine of a hockey player. so the better analogy would be student with any of the yale d-men that beat the no nickname team from grand forks.hope that helps
Genoway was arguably the best D man in the WCHA before he got hurt. May have been an All American if he didn't have his head pounded into the glass.mulefarm wrote:It's telling you something if he can't play at Northeastern, but can play with the gophers? I believe you mean the "Flicker Tails"mulefarm wrote:Just what they need is another 5-8 165lb defensemen. I'm sure the Souix are shaking in their boots.
