Anybody know if he's playing in the USHL this year? Sioux City maybe?

Aaron Crandall will start the year as the number 2 goalie for the Bulldogs with a chance to compete for the starting job. Great to see with Aaron being such a great kid. Bulldogs should be very solid again this year. Hope everything goes well.

I don't see him getting too much playing time over Peanut Butter and Hjelle.

Hjelle left the program so it's Reiter in the number one spot, Crandall in the two spot and there will be a tryout among current UMD students for the third spot on the team according to the Duluth News Tribune.

Shows how much I'm following the WCHA right now.

Any idea why he would choose to play in the league that's purpose is to get him to the spot that he was already at?

Because he didn't like the situation (being Reiter's Backup) that he was in at UMD. If he goes back to the USHL and UMD releases him he's eligible to play without sitting out a year at the next school he enrolls at...
