What do you think of USA Hockey approving the MN experiment?
All 2:00 min penalties now 1:30 .
5:00 min now 4:00. 2010-11
Why not just stay out of the box if the kiddies need more ice time.

About time. 2:00 is too much for a 12-15 min period. Screws up lines, and out side of some of the top teams, PP is of little value.

The original plan was to leave them alone and go with the same thresholds as before.

Changing to 130 for a game that is 1 hour is a no brainer and long over due. The offender stills gets a penalty and hopefully learns. To have a kid sitting the same amount of time as a player playing 20 minute periods in the NHL or college doesnt make any sense to me.

Did you actually read the rule that they approved?
It says games of 15 minutes or less. Nothing about periods? So technically is what they voted on what they meant or is it just worded poorly?

I hope its periods and not games.
