Thunder Bay will be tough to beat. They are very deep this season and also have extremely solid goaltenders.

Ah,just a question, since when is Minnetonka and the north metro considered outstate?I would say for being an " elite league" with a outstate team maybe they should have invited some of the outstate players and run this like the boys side.I think they missed a few.

They changed the format this year, no longer are the teams formed geographically. The league invites a set number of players and they either except or not. They then hold tryouts to fill out the remaining spots. (If there is a lack of Northern players…I would suspect that they find it difficult to participate) They then do their best to make three equal teams. Don’t quote me… but I think they did this so all three teams can be competitive not only for the league games but for the St. Cloud and Bauer tournaments respectively. They use to pick an all star team that participated in the Bauer NIT tournament but they kicked everyone’s butt so this may have also contributed to this new approach
