Maybe not the right forum, but does anyone know of any opportunities for goalies in a U19 proram this season.

It seems that very few cities have the numbers to offer this level. What area are you in? The bigger communities have more U19 teams, in the past EP, Edina, a collaboration of NW metro teams, and WBL have offered. Not sure if areas know what numbers they have until after HS tryouts though.

In the D8 meeting minutes it says that Cottage Grove will be hosting a 19U team. I believe that players can be waived in to play on that team.

In looking at the girls page of the White Bear Lake Area Hockey Association website, a U19 team is listed. Here is the link to that page:

According to the Mn Hockey calendar there is a Girls league meeting Sunday Oct 3 in St Cloud at the Kelly Inn. I am not sure of the start time but I would believe the 19U teams and league will be discussed. Check in the Mn Hockey handbook to see who the Girls coordinator is for your respective District.

I knew that Cottage Grove was looking for a goalie earlier this summer for their U19 team. Don't know if they have any goalies yet, but if they are hosting a team as the District 8 minutes suggest - you may want to check in with them. They usually end up with around 50% Cottage Grove players and the rest from other cities.

Here's the expected league from the 10/3 mtg in Cloud;
There are currently 7-teams at the U19B level. (Centennial, OMGHA, White Bear Lake, Wayzata, Edina (2 teams), Cottage Grove). The league will be administered by District 6. The State Tournament will be hosted by District 3 and be held at St. Louis Park.
Last year Minnetonka had a team and Anoka had several girls interested too. A mass exodus from any HS squad could create another team, but for the most part some advance planning is needed to be successful and registration is probably being accepted by most of the teams already identified. Girls still in HS are to follow district boundaries if a team is available within, for post HS grads it's not that clear, but a reasonably priced, well organized, pretty competitive and fun playing opp for those still passionate about the game...
