Seems early for this but HM-WBL at Aldrich is only 8 weeks from tomorrow night. WBL has 2 of the best players in the state with Wahlin and Birkinbine. Both were 20 goal scorers last year. But HM was dominant last year. HM beat WBL 5-0 and 5-1. HM didn't lose much. They only had 5 seniors. The JV was 24-0-1. They are very deep. They have a bunch of guys - Bahe, Becker, Holler, Sampair & Lavalle - all capable of scoring 20+ goals. They return a senior goalie, Shaughnessy, who was 23-3-1 with a .922 save pct. They have 8 kids playing in the 2 elite fall leagues. HM will be one of the favorites to win the State title. Looks like the 13 game streak will go to 15 this year. Stillwater & Tartan were wiped out by graduation and Tartan's Horton leaving for Jrs. Nobody appears close to HM, but February is a long way off and there are lots of games to be played first.

How are Shaughnessy's stats in the Elite league? Probably a better indication of his true abilities, rather than playing weak competition with an All Star team in front of you.

HM is the clear favorite in 4AA this year and every year.

Tim Shaughnessy's stats in the fall league won't mean much on Dec. 23rd. The fact that he played 15 games in Sept., Oct. & Nov. will help him. The fact that he is 5-0 vs. WBL will also help him. 40-50 shots are pretty typical in the elite league. Not a whole lotta defense being played. Probably not a better indication of his true abilities.

Housley came back for one more year because he's excited about his roster. No love for Stilly here? :o

What happened to the Munson kid, seemed to be hand picked. Based on his blades coach was or is the goalie coach at Hill. Is he still there or did he leave, since Dugas seemed to pass him by last year.
