I just received news from someone close to Bernie and Minnesota Made, that they have a purchase agreement on a building in the Maple Grove area.
This building has enough clear span for two full size ice sheets.
If the financing goes through they will start the build out this spring and open next October. Can anyone else confirm?

this is old news. I had heard about the Maple Grove thing early this summer and nothing has happened yet could be true and could be just a rumor
But..............
A new rumor I heard about is that Northern Edge hockey has a potential purchase agreement for 300+ acres in Lakeville off hwy 70 and hwy35 and they are planning to build two rinks, a huge training facility and a school..... how bout that!!! but I won't believe it until I see it

#'s are declining in many areas, and they keep building, sounds like the housing market a few years ago.....

300+ acres??? What, are they going to plant the players in rows and raise them that way? Do they get the seeds from Monsanto or Pioneer?

I would guess the individual you heard that from is inaccurate, considering that the Chaska Town Course is on a little less than 280 acres. You could fit a small town on 300 acres, not to mention about 50 indoor hockey rinks plus dryland facilities.

WOW! good job. I never said it was true and never said I believed it. Like I said it was a rumor and I am just repeating what I heard. Maybe the property is ohh lets say 75% unusable (i.e wetlands, streams, etc.) I haven't seen the property nor have you so you are just taking a random guess. I have worked with many people who purchase a large area of land and only a small fraction of it is usable. Maybe try to think outside of your box. Again this was a rumor and you have to take it for what it is worth

If I'm gonna put together some kind of hockey facility, especially in today's market, I am not going to purchse 300 acres if the majority is scrub brush and unusable. And I am taking it for what's it worth, which is not very much.

Nothern Educate is currently located in Eagan, they were suppose to operate out of Bloomington but I heard the deal fell thru. I believe Bloomington is trying to get them back for next year as long as they can work our a deal.

i don't think Mn Made is building anything it was in paper they couldn't pay their light bill this summer.unless they won big money in lawsuit against district 6. but i did hear Chicago Mission is going to build in Mn if peewee checking isn't over turned

could be begining of end to Minnesota hockey as we know it

What paper was it in? What paper reports private businesses utility bills outstanding or NOT outstanding?
