Well they can put the teams in alphabetical order. Being from Bemidji, I like it.

Seriously they should know that Andover, Elk River, Crookston, Warroad, Thief River Falls, and I am sure others listed don't have teams this year at 14UA.

The rankings will occur for teams that have a minimum of 5 games and will be released on Wednesday morning. The first computer rankings will occur this week, so it'd be nice to have as many scores as possible in the system.

Regarding team changes, these will be done in the next week or so after we know for sure which teams don't exist at 14UA.

No teams: Andover, Elk River, Prior Lake/Burnsville, Faribault, Lakeville has one team

I'll add Crookston, Warroad, TRF to that list.

Team names:

Buffalo = Wright County Blades
Apple Valley should be AV/Burnsville/Prior Lake/Savage

These scores and stats can't be right. NWC Red hasn't lost yet and NWC Blue hasn't won yet. NWC Blue has only scored 2 goals...so...not sure where these numbers are coming from.

Both LPH and the Hastings association website (from which LPH may have gotten its scores) have the following:

Hastings 2, NWC Red 0
Hastings 0, NWC Blue 3

It wouldn't be a surprise if the NWC colors were mixed up, as I see the NWC Blue website shows 3 losses in statistics. However, the game schedule from NGIN showing the actual scores is down at this time.

If anybody has the correct game scores for both NWC teams thus far, I'd be happy to correct them. Otherwise, you can enter/request a correction directly at myhockeyrankings.com.

Edina Green seems pretty well positioned to repeat. Wayzata, Centennial, Minnetonka, NWC Red, and Eden Prairie appear to be contenders.

The Cake Eater's tournament should clear things up this weekend at least in the 14UA B Pool where Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Centennial Red, and Minnetonka will play each other. It should be a great high-level, early season test for these teams.

I guess the Cake Eater's tournament gave each of the strong teams their first lost... so the top rankings are as clear as mud.

The remaining top, strong undefeated team and winner of the Elk River Tournament, NWC Red, plays Wayzata tonight in league play. If anybody has the score for this game, please reply. It should be a great matchup.

Cake Eater's had several weird and inconsistent results for 14UA, more than I would have expected (although I see that the Edina website corrected the most surprising result overnight). Obviously, it's early season and perhaps coaches are experimenting with lines and not overly concerned with results. I didn't get to see all of the games, but there are many talented players and teams so it will be fun to see how it all shakes out at the end.

As of today, the following teams have no reported scrimmages at myhockeyrankings.com:

Chaska
REV
Roseville+
Sibley

1. Are these associations fielding teams this year?
2. Does anybody have any scrimmage scores to report?

Thanks!

Thanks!
Chaska/Chanhassen fielding a team in D6
Roseville/NSP fielding a team in D6
Highland Central (Sibley Area) fielding a team in D6
Rosemount shows a 14UA team in D8 (Coop w/ Eastview, REV)

Have not seen scores, but know these teams are fielding 14UA squads...

I believe that the Roseville/North St. Paul co-op ("North East Metro United") has some Mounds View and White Bear Lake girls playing this year.

Also, it looks like Highland Central (League 6) and Sibley Area (League 8) have separate teams playing in separate leagues this year.

I don't know any scores for these teams either.

Sibley just played their first games of the year over the weekend at the Sauk Rapids tournament. Don't know if they had scrimmages prior to that. Chan/Chaska always is extremely stingy with revealing their scores - don't know if it's "policy" or what.

Wayzata outshot this team 40-6. Wayzata didn't make it interesting, the Centennial goalie did. She was great. I'm sure Wayzata is looking forward to another game...

Wow backspin, not quite sure what game you were watching because our coach told us the shot difference was within 4. My daughter had 6 shots herself! It was a back and forth game! What a poor loser...I try to say good game and you can't even shake my hand??? Good Luck with your season! Call us for a rematch ANYTIME!!!

I don't have anything to do with the Wayzata team, so I can't really call for a rematch nor am I the 'poor loser'. I couldn't really care who wins. Sorry if my post was misleading. Based on your high level of interest, keeping shot stats for your daughter and all, maybe you can get that rematch lined up.

I'd look forward to seeing these 2 teams play again. It was fun to watch. The Centennial goalie played very well. Centennial also had a very good defensive player. Wayzata seemed to have a deeper set of forwards and defense, but I could be completely wrong.

You're post had nothing to do with complimenting Wayzata. It was to take a pot shot at the nice post about how Wayzata had played some pretty good hockey, and how Centennial beat them. Enjoy the season - be sure to go to Walmart and get enough pencils to keep shot stats.

You are the one who completely posted wrong shot stats!!! So looks like you forgot to bring your pencils that day! And we WILL play them again, guaranteed... It was a fun game and yes, it was fun to beat them, they are a good team and No, I wasn't rubbing anything in, just saying good game! Isn't that what it's all about?... Bye now, off to buy my pencils but not at Walmart.
