Well, in the past there was a great deal of criticism about the technical quality of their coverage. Some of it was warranted. Where are the detractors now? Can they at least applaud the effort?
  • Multiple camera angles
    Steady feed with no interuptions
Wall-to-wall coverage of all six games
Excellent play-by-play from announcer Pete Waggoner
    Solid commentary from Bart Archer
Instant slow-mo replay of significant plays
Quality choice of games that ended with a great one
High-level production (credit to Doug Erline?)
People can still say that Edina gets preferential treatment because the booth guys are graduates, but c'mon. This is free and accessible from anywhere in the world. I'm not certain the other games will have the same excellence, but long gone are the days when the games were too hard to watch because the signal wasn't working.

Well done guys.

On a separate note, the goal celebration was incredible. A swarm of leaping Hornets in front of the student section was a reminder of what makes HS sports so great. When people feel the grass is greener - and many do - it makes me think they take what Minnesota has (at least in many schools) for granted. Back to the coverage, they signed off with a slow-mo recap of each kid jumping into the bunch. Very cool.

Eden Prarie, Edina, and Grand Rapids all went 2-1. Do we know who 'won' the tournament? (I think Edina gets credit for a win, but it may go in the books as a 2-2 tie.)
