Hill-Murray takes out Lakeville South 3-2 in OT in the semi-finals of the ABRA tourney in Edina. Two very impressive outings for The Pioneers who are playing without their superstar Hannah Brandt. Count me as one who thinks this could really benefit the team for the rest of the season. This is the 2nd consecutive year they've made the finals of this tournament (lost to Irondale in finals last year) and they'll face the winner of Coon Rapids and Edina.

They're not only missing H Brandt, but as far as I know M Brandt hasn't played in about 3 weeks. And that was their 'backup' goalie who beat LS.

I agree, this is a huge step for the pioneers! I did hear that M Brandt was back for the tournament. There has been scoring from a lot of different players, especially Bobrowski and Lund, this shows that the team is a little deeper than i thought

Interesting fact about the tournament is that for all three days the same JV and Varsity teams played each other. On the last day only two results were different between the identical JV and Varsity opponents. Duluth JV beat Irondale JV where the Irondale Varsity beat Duluth Varsity and the Championship game results were switched where Hill Murray JV beat Edina JV but Edina Varsity beat Hill Murray Varsity.

Congratulations to Buffalo on their win!
P.S. I turned the TV to Channel 12 a few times over the past couple of days, but no hockey action! Looks like they dropped their sponsorship ('Cable 12 Tournament') after so many years? If so, that's too bad.
