North American Mid-Term Draft Rankings:

This is a list of the Minnesota High School Hockey players and their rankings in the North American Mid-terms (I decided to add Shattuck players to the list):

#30: Mario Lucia – Wayzata
#60: Joseph LaBate – Holy Angels
#65: Mike Reilly – Shattuck
#81: Max Everson – Edina
#132: Steven Fogarty – Edina
#160: Tony Cameranesi – Wayzata
#162: Tanner Sorenson – Shattuck
#176: Kyle Rau – Eden Prairie
#179: Neal Goff – Stillwater

Goaltenders:

Hockey Hub reporting Max Everson commits to Harvard

Compared to the last few yrs, pretty weak group.

These kids are the 93's ? Is that correct ???

A couple 92's in there. I have a feeling Rau will get drafted a bit higher than that. Quality player.

Curious, Lucia is highest ranked h.s. player (mn) yet I believe is uncommitted. Why isn't he a committed gopher recruit?

His only knock is he's a center who's about 5'8" 165. Other than that he's the most skilled player out of everyone listed here so it all depends if someone wants to take a chance on him. Maybe the Wild will take him late to appease the fans who get pissed that we have no MN kids.

It sometimes bothers me that NHL teams care so much about size. Expecially for someone as talented as him. He gets it done.

Given the fact this list is just North American players, I doubt Rau will climb the ladder come draft time. His size and the fact he did not choose the Jr's route will most certainly factor in as well.

and . . . . . . it will be interesting to see how these rankings factor into the "mr hockey" award.

He is a junior which might be part of the reason.

Probably need to make sure that his dad still has the job.

And where he's committed to play college hockey will play a role. Always does. Depends on the team. The University of Minnesota is not seen in as high regard with NHL teams and scouts currently as it used to be.

I know you just listed HS players but i'll just add these other Minnesotans.

Why would choosing to avoid junior matter to any player? Do you want me to give you a list of players that choose not to play Jr. and did very well come draft time? That is nonsense.

Rau will not be taken very high in the draft due to his size. PERIOD. I kinda wonder if Marshall Everson feels like he got the shaft. He was great in HS and got no recognition on the draft boards.
