Cooper Edges Armstrong

For the first time since 1995, (upwards of 25 or more games) Cooper won 2-0 with a empty netter tonight at New Hope in the District 281 game.
These teams for years were in the same conference before Cooper moved out in 2005 or so.
Great atmosphers and crowd. Trent Kallas was spectacular in net for Cooper pitching the shutout, and the Hawks played great and had many great chances against Greenberg as well. Armstrong had many great chances and is having a good year in the NW Suburban so I'm sure they will bounce back fine.
For those of you in the NW metro, Channel 12 aired the game lived on cable so check your listings at www.twelve.tv
Considering the numbers disadvantages and demographic challenges at Cooper, what a great win. Congrats to long-time Coach Bill Rooney who played at Armstrong with Todd Richards in the mid-80's and has been the head man for 13 years!
