White Bear remains undefeated with a 5-3 win over Roseville. The Bears came out hot taking a 2-0 lead less than 2 minutes into the game. WBL completely dominated the 1st period. They led 3-0 before Roseville started to work their way back into it, thanks in part to the Bears parade to the penalty box. Roseville was down 4-3 and pulled the goalie with 2 minutes left and had an open look at the net and fired it high. WBL added the empty net goal to seal it. It was a pretty even game starting at the midpoint with the Raiders showing they can play with the conference's top team. They will have to do a better job against the Bears very impressive first line the next time they meet.
Stillwater takes sole pocession of 2nd place with an impressive 7-1 rout of Hastings. Defense and goaltending plus a rare explosion of offense from the Ponies keep them on the heels of White Bear. Dissappointing result for Hastings keeps them in the lower half.
Woodbury creeps into 4th place with a 5-1 victory over Mounds View. The Mustangs held the shot advantage but the Royals made the most of their chances including two power play goals.
Cretin and Forest Lake continue to hang out in the middle of the pack as they skated to a 3-3 tie. The Rangers quieted Cretin's top line holding them to 1 goal. Both teams seem to be treading water in conference play.
East Ridge kept Park of Cottage Grove winless in the conference with a 4-1 victory. The Raptors style of play could lead to an upset down the line and influence the standings.
