How about Target Field? Put some temporary stands up around the rink...To be honest I just want somewhere remotely close to the cities. This outstate stuff is just too hard to get to.

I heard Rochester is fighting really hard to get it in Rochester. They had the first test run last year and the second one is Saturday.

I'd love to see for Hockey Day, Fox Sports televise a game at each level of hockey.
A Squirt
A Pee Wee
A Bantam
A High School
AA High School
College
Pro
All from the same venue if possible.

How about on Lake Minnetonka right in front of Maynards and Bay View. Get all of the teams surrouding the lake involved.

Wayzata vs. Minnetonka
Orono vs. Mound
Eden Prairie vs Out state team (Warroad, Duluth East)

As great as that sounds, let's get realistic. This isn't the Winter Classic, it's Minnesota High School Hockey. I doubt they will be making rinks on baseball fields for a one day thing. There are plenty of outdoor rinks to choose from. Aren't we the Land of 10,000 Lakes? (I think that's more than enough to choose from). ](*,)

Most high school baseball coaches I know would have a heart attack if anyone tried to build a rink on their field!

It was the first one they did in 2007. It was hosted on Lake of the Woods. Roseau played Blaine I think. Maybe it was White Bear Lake but it was one of those two I'm pretty sure. I remember it was really windy and terribly cold. I was thinking of going ice fishing but thought it was too cold to sit in a house all day. Couldn't imagine playing a game out in that environment haha.

I don't remember which team won, except I know it was the one that was going with the wind for two periods.

roseau and blaine actually played in 2008, but thats besides the point. i think it would be pretty sweet seeing a warroad roseau game! a great rivalry that would draw a big crowd. that would be a fun game to watch!

The perfect spot would be Mora's outdoor rink.

Mora vs Farmington
