White Bear Lake at Park Cottage Grove 7:30PM
This game features the top of the SEC versus the bottom. White Bear Lake will look to stay undefeated and on top with a win over the last place Wolfpack. Park tied Cretin last SEC outing and are coming off a Tuesday win over Eastview tallying 11 goals over the two games. The Bears keep rolling along and will come out with an easy victory on the road.
Stillwater at Woodbury 7:30PM
Stillwater has rattled off five straight wins to keep a solid hold on 2nd place in the conference. The Ponies are playing very well in front of their own net, only allowing 9 goals during the win streak and scoring some timely goals. Woodbury enters the game on a two game losing streak, but the Royals have found stability in the nets and will keep this one close. Look for a typical SEC low scoring game with the Ponies winning by a goal.
East Ridge at Cretin 7:30PM
The Raiders pulled off the big upset Tuesday defeating the defending state champion Edina Hornets. I don’t look for Cretin to have a letdown against East Ridge as they will look to avenge an earlier loss to the Raptors. East Ridge has only one win its last eight games; chances are it will be one win in its last nine.
Forest Lake at Hastings 7:30PM
Hastings pounded Forest Lake in their last meeting 5-1, since then the Raiders have gone 2-6-1 and have given up too many goals to win with any consistency. Forest lake meanwhile is coming off a 5-0 nothing shutout loss to Duluth East, they have won two in a row in conference play to sit in a 3rd place tie with Roseville. Too much travel for the Rangers this week, I’ll take Hastings in an upset.
Roseville at Mounds View 7:30PM
Roseville continues to search for more offensive production; they are averaging fewer than 3 goals a game on offense, the good news is they only give up a hair over 2 goals a game. They have yet to be beaten by more than 2 goals this season but the lack of offense gives them very little room for error. The Mustangs are in a win one, lose one, and tie one mode as they continue to struggle to put a win streak together. Roseville will bump that goals per game average up with a win in the Shoreview ice box.
