AAA Hockey at the 2003 level

I have noticed a few organizations offering teams at the 2003 level this year. Many more than offered 2002 last year.

What I have not seen are many tournaments offered for this age group. I know that the Stars and Stripes will offer the 2003 level, but that's the only one I know of.

Seems like summer hockey just got a little younger.

No huge controversy here, just wondering if others know of any 2003 tournaments this summer and if I am the only one that thinks a full blown AAA season for the '04's might be in the works for next year. :D

It seems like organizations are starting to build for the Brick at an earlier age. I have noticed many teams across NA that are gearing up for this tournament a few years in advance. Naturally these teams will see a lot of changes between inception and tournament time. Its almost like the popularity of the Brick tournament has increased ten fold. There are a lot of 2003 teams out there. Some teams are there just for experience and social aspect, others seem to be quite serious. I think it is a good thing as long as everyone keeps things in perspective. It all depends on the kids and the parent group that is assembled.

There are at least 5 or 6 tournaments for 2003 division in Vancouver
The main one is the Challenge Cup-May they will have 16 2003 teams playing
1 from Calgary and 1 from Colorado.
They will have a 2004 division next year.
The other tournament is the Mainland Tournament-April I think 12 teams- Not as strong but still AAA and AA.

The Kamloops Ice Pirates-April will have a 2004 tournament next year with 8 teams. AAA as well. The other is One Hockey out of Edmonton.
Subway Classic May- Winnipeg is usually pretty good but not many teams this year for 2003's they are all from Vancouver or Manitoba mostly.

The person above is correct the teams are starting earlier and a few are skate year round.
