1.Lilly Lake over in Stillwater, if you have one worse, let me know.
2a.Freezeburger, Duluth...seriously, put that place up in flames and claim the insurance
2b. Detroit Lakes, great beer on the lake but the rink b l o w s
3. Braemer in Edina, only because the vendors only sell Hornet crap and I always have to pay $25/per to get in that place, and let's face it, if you're not from Edina (or a Florida guy from the O-Town) you just don't like Edina

I agree with Lily Pond as the number one bad ice arena in Minnesota. Next up is the Mora Civic Center Ice Arena. Number three on my list is SPA's Drake Arena--that place is a pit.

Moundsview is a hole.

The old Minnetonka bubble was not exactly a palace either

Biff Adams,
Parade South,

Lay off Fryburger... that rink actually is one of the classics and they keep it up extremely well... Go in the warming area if you can't handle the cold!

I was told Biff Adams was closed to hockey. They turned it into a curling rink. Ramsey County struggling to sell enough ice to fill all their rinks. I agree with Lily Lake as the worst.

Fixed your post.

I agree with Parade South - glass is so scratched you can't see through it, cracks in the block walls make it look like it's ready to come down after a heavy snow...

Hey now, Lilly Lake arena was a good building when I played high school hockey there. 30 years ago.......It would be rock'n on Friday night's

Princeton (old one), the only reason because you can't see thru the glass! Puck marks all over obscures the viewing.

MMade. Horrible to get to, has no heat and it's a tennis court. Plus I just had too bring up MMade. What's a discussion around here without a MMade reference?

Anyone that has an indoor rink should be happy. Most teams won't even play a game outside above Mite level. Hockey is a great game inside or out. I heard that the Johnson "A" Pee Wee's wanted to play a league game outside but district 8 said good luck getting refs outside. What happened to real hockey I guess they might not be a great team but at least they will try.
I could only wish our teams and others had that heart. Hockey isn't always about who wins but what the players remember.

I'd have to include the converted barn in Benson. Or was it Morris? Anyways, one or the other was pretty rough. Leaky roof, cold, etc.

anyone ever been to Pine City? May not be the "worst" rink out there, but it makes Anoka feel tropical during the winter.

No joke ... half the stands are people in snow mobile gear, all the way down to the Sorels.

Granted...we don't have to play in Sunmart every week but that rink is so bad it's actually kind of cool and a unique experience for the kids. When the kids play in Fargo all the rinks tend to blend together...but they remember Sunmart!

Isn't the one with one end of the rink runs to the stone wall? That one is quite bad IMO!

Anoka -where D10 has "Super Sunday" every year - all the championship games for districts. Whoever is in charge must be from Anoka. - here's a great idea...Let's have all the championship games at the worst rink in D10. Nice.
