It used to be that all the best players in MN went to the Gophers. Now the best players split between all the MN schools. Interesting article. Not the content, but the way it was written. He asks the question, but doesn't begin to answer it. The article says that good players come from other places. Nothing new for anyone on this forum.
I'm sure some locals read it and said, "wow! We have a kid coming from California?"
Grimaldi being a Californian that left for Michigan Bantams and then the NTDP before going to North Dakota...if he wins a national title that will only be, well, 25 years or so after another Californian left Los Angeles for Minnesota before ultimately winning a national championship with the Badgers.

However, sarcasm is hard to recognize when reading sometimes (posts, texts, etc.)
And MN is still rich in talent compared to the rest of the nation. IMO
