Duluth East vs Elk River

Who are we taking in this one? East edged one out in the regular season as the Elks are riding the back of Franke until it gives out. Should be a good one on semi final saturday at the Amsoil in Duluth.

elk river needs to stay out of the box and score 3 or more goals, that means shoot the puck, they need 25-30 shots. the home team has won all the games between them the last few years and the elks have to travel again what a joke. elk rivers goalie is playing great lately. elks 3 puppies 2

ER will need more than 3 goals.
East will score 4 or 5, perhaps 6.

After the game two weeks ago, the Hub interviewed Jake Randolph and both coaches; it's been archived here:
http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article ... r_id=32770
I recommend it; both coaches usually give good sound bites, though Tony gets on his soap-box in this one and goes off on a (very interesting, IMO) tangent.
For Elky to win, I think they need to capitalize on East mistakes, and look for odd-man rushes if East gets drawn in too far. Franke also needs to be on top of his game, or else they're doomed. If enough things go right the Elks can win, but there's no doubt which team is the favorite here.

How can you not pick the Hounds?
Even ER fans should pick them.
5-2

No doubt! But we have all seen crazy things happen in past 7AA playoffs. I do believe DE will dominate this game but there is always the would ifs:
Would if JoJo plays like doodoo...
Would if ER can actually contain DE's 1st line...
Would if Randolph gets out coached...

JoJo has better stats than Franke this season and has done this against a stronger schedule.
Plus, he'll be playing at "home"

Hoping for 2 good games the semis have been kind of lopsided the past 2 years.

You must be crazy.
East may get the gift of home ice, but Sars gets results.
Patience.

Actually the game is being played at Amsoil Arena, home of the UMD Bulldogs. Not sure who told you it was at the Heritage, but hopefully I could clear up any home ice nonsense...

No . Im sick of you always complaining... period... We dont complain when we have to travel to the "X" or , away games, or Holiday Tournaments etc..
Get over it dude, your complaining is getting old , and your making ER look worse than they really are

I'm picking Duluth East. But I'd really like to see Elk River win
I guess the last time these teams met it was a close 1-1 game until the final minutes of regulation when East scored to win it.
So I'd like to see the Elks get the upset this time
